On June 7, “Team Jack” will host a benefit for Milmay resident Jack Richardson. The group includes friends and supporters of Richardson, who is currently undergoing dialysis three times a week for kidney disease. The event will be held at the Good Sports Gun Club headquarters at 53 Union Road in Millville on June 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. The fundraiser will include food, music, a Chinese auction, and a 50/50. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol.

“Team Jack” welcomes any donations that can be added to the auction table. The group of friends is anxious to help Richardson regain a better quality of life. A 1985 graduate of Buena High School, Richardson worked as a truck driver for many years before he was stricken with kidney disease. Prior to developing health issues, his interests included hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Now, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.

“I’m grateful to the wonderful people who are organizing this event,” Richardson said. “As most of us know, medical treatment is very expensive so this fundraiser will be a big help.”

In the meantime, Richardson hopes that a kidney donor will be encouraged to come forward. He is optimistic that the benefit will raise further interest in helping him attract a donor.

Tickets must be purchased in advance of the event. Admission is $35 per person. To order tickets or to learn more, contact Fran at 856-466-8689, Tom at 609-774-1574 or email Donate4Jack@gmail.com.
