Held in partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation, Landis Sewerage Authority and Good Sports Gunning Club, the workshop is free.

The hunting and shooting program is a mentored turkey hunting workshop introducing women 18 years and older to the world of turkey hunting. The program is designed to provide participants with an informative and friendly environment to learn new skills while hunting for wild turkeys in a mentored environment.

To participate in the workshop, you must have a shotgun (shotguns cannot be loaned out). Some hunting and shooting experience is preferred.

The workshop will cover the following topics—life history and biology of the wild turkey, hunting regulations, equipment, scouting, patterning your shotgun (range), planning your hunt, and turkey calling, followed by an actual mentored hunt.

The mentored hunts are set for Monday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29 at the Landis Sewerage Authority at 1776 south Mill Road in Vineland, with special permission.

Lodging can be on your own or at complimentary cabins available at Parvin State Park. Meals will be provided during the program. An agenda and more information will be sent out to participants who are selected.

You need to have the following items by the date of the workshop:

• Valid 2025 New Jersey All Around or Firearm hunting license;

• Zone 21-B Turkey Permit (How-to Instructions will be sent before the deadline); and

• Shotgun (shotguns will not be loaned out)

All ammunition will be provided by the R3 Hunting & Shooting Program.
