Eagle Festival (and other raptors,too).
Mauricetown Firehall, 9544 Noble St., Mauricetown. 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Full day of presentations, observation stations, and trail walks. The Delaware Bay region has become a crucial stronghold for eagle recovery. Cumberland County, in particular, leads the state with the highest number of bald eagle nests. Celebrate the successful recovery of America’s symbol, the bald eagle, and the partners that made this feat possible. There you can check out the vendors’ booths, enjoy a bite to eat, see Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge’s live raptors, create with Clay College, learn more about Bayshore birds from knowledgeable speakers, or simply warm up and socialize. Hot drinks and food will be available for purchase, prepared by Mauricetown Fire Company volunteers. Guided walks and observation stations are entirely outdoors, so dress accordingly and bring your binoculars. More information: cumauriceriver.org/
