The April meeting of the Millville Woman’s Club (MWC) was designated as its Birthday Bash, but it was not to celebrate members’ birthdays. Instead, members were proud to celebrate their Club’s 116th birthday! It has been a long journey of services to the community as well as interesting and educational activities for members.
Pam McNamee, president, welcomed Gail Russo, from the Countryside Garden Club. Russo shared a power point of the club’s gardening, visits to private and public gardens, flower arranging workshop, programs for children, and the Blue Star Memorial Garden honoring U.S. veterans. The Countryside Garden Club is a non-profit organization and members work toward civic beautification and service along with conservation and preservation of our environment and wildlife. The Countryside Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club of New Jersey, the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
Donna Pio, MWC Education Committee, introduced three Millville High School (MHS) senior girls who were invited to share a little about themselves. Isabella Musey is member of the National Honor Society and described herself as “hard-working and dedicated as evidenced by successfully juggling high school and college academics, sports, and extracurriculars.” Isabella is an accomplished photographer.
