A fire on the night of April 9 destroyed six homes and killed two girls on the 300 block of South 4th Street in Millville. Twenty Millville residents lost most of their possessions and the Cumberland County community has come together to collect needed items.
In Millville, Holly Center Family Success Center, Christy Funeral Home, Millville Soccer Association, and the Phenom Factory are part of collection and distribution efforts to help the impacted families.
Members of the Millville Soccer Association have started a “Millville Strong Fund” and hope to raise $12,000 by the end of April. Donations, including cash and gift cards, may be dropped off in a secure box at the clubhouse or handed to members of the club board.
In Vineland, Outlaw Burger Barn & Creamery, Julio’s on Main, and Dugout Barbershop are collecting needed items as well.
Most of the donations will be shifted to the Phenom Factory for sorting and then distribution.
