Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) announces enrollment for its Certified Production Technician (CPT) Program, a nationally recognized training and certification program provided by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC). This grant funded program will start June 9 and is designed to prepare individuals for success in the modern manufacturing workforce at no cost to the student.
The CPT program provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a wide range of manufacturing roles—from entry-level positions to front-line supervisors. With manufacturing jobs in New Jersey offering an average annual salary of $54,470 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2024), the CPT certification opens the door to stable, well-paying careers in a growing industry.
The program is comprised of four essential modules: Safety, Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production, and Maintenance Awareness.
The CPT program will run Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting June 9 through July 31. In seven weeks, students will be prepared to earn full CPT certification. This credential signifies mastery of core competencies required for high-performance manufacturing roles.
Students will also become eligible to pursue the CPT+ certification, an advanced designation that further enhances career opportunities.

This program is open to individuals with no manufacturing experience and those already employed in a manufacturing role. The CPT program will be your first step toward a rewarding career in one of New Jersey’s key industries.
