Mary (Tolotti) Hogg is celebrating her 100th birthday on May 6. Mary was born and raised in East Vineland. Her parents, Joseph and Julia, were farmers and Mary worked on the family farm throughout her early years. She had two older brothers, John and Louis. It was through her brother Louis that she met her husband William (Bill) Hogg. Bill was in the Navy during WWII and they eventually wed on February 4, 1945.
After the war, Mary and Bill bought a farm on Sherman Avenue in South Vineland where they raised their three daughters, who are pictured here with their mother, from left: Barbara Gruccio, Carole Ward, and Diane Cavagnaro.
For many years Mary worked in the Central Supply Unit at Newcomb Hospital until she retired in 1987. Upon their retirement, Bill and Mary sold the farm and moved to Ok Lane in Vineland. In 1992, Bill passed after a courageous battle with cancer. In 2001 Mary moved to Penn Lincoln where she resided until March of 2024 when she moved to New Standard Assisted Living in Millville.

Mary has made many new friends at New Standard and loves visits from her family and friends. She enjoys telling stories about the past, and watching golf and the Phillies. Mary has five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Family and friends will gather with Mary on Sunday, May 4 at New Standard to celebrate her 100th birthday. Mary attributes her longevity to hard work and being surrounded by family and friends.
