The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ), the state’s largest anti-hunger, anti-poverty organization, announced today that it has received a generous $50,000 donation from CRA Financial to support the annual Operation Help campaign. This campaign aims to ensure that food-insecure neighbors in South Jersey have access to nutritious meals during the holiday season.
In CFBNJ’s South Jersey service area, which includes some of the regions with the highest rates of food insecurity in the state—about 65,000 people are struggling with hunger, including more than 20,000 children.
Since 2020, CRA Financial has been a committed Impact Partner of CFBNJ, contributing over $110,000 to the organization’s efforts. This year, CRA Financial made the decision to forgo company gifts and instead direct its resources to supporting the local community. Their generous $50,000 donation will provide more than 150,000 meals to South Jersey residents in need this holiday season.
“We are incredibly grateful for CRA Financials’ continued support of our vision to build healthier communities in South Jersey,” said Elizabeth McCarthy, president and CEO of CFBNJ. “Their commitment to forgoing gifts and giving back to the community is a powerful example of how we can all come together to support our neighbors in need. This generous donation will ensure that many families in South Jersey can enjoy a warm, nutritious meal this holiday season.”
This year, Operation Help has raised over $70,000 and almost 6,000 pounds of food. Every dollar donated and every food item contributed helps strengthen the South Jersey community.
“We are so blessed here at CRA Financial and have so many things to be thankful for,” said Matt Reynolds, co-managing member of CRA Financial. “With food prices so high, we felt that this year we needed to enhance our giving back. The Community Food Bank of New Jersey does such a great job for so many folks who just need a little help, and it does so in such a great, dignified way.”
