Colleges partner to empower students

Camden County College and Jefferson University in Philadelphia are teaming for an innovative partnership under the Community College Educational Alliance Program.

The results will be discounted tuition, advanced academic opportunities, and career-focused initiatives for the college’s faculty, staff, alumni and families. The partnership aims to empower students by offering a wide range of degree and certificate programs, helping them to enhance their expertise, advance in their careers and meet the challenges of a competitive job market.

“At Jefferson, we understand the profound impact that collaboration has in shaping a dynamic educational environment,” said Jefferson president Dr. Susan Aldridge. “Collectively, through this program, we are cultivating the growth of a robust and resilient ecosystem to enhance the lives of its members within the community at both Jefferson and Camden County College.”

The Community College Educational Alliance Program will enable participants to access more than 200 degree and certificate programs across 10 areas:

  • Architecture
  • Business
  • Design
  • Engineering
  • Fashion and Textiles
  • Health
  • Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Science
  • Social Science

The partnership’s financial benefits will include an up to 50% discount on select undergraduate programs and a 10% discount on select graduate, certificate and doctoral programs

“This partnership between Camden County College and Thomas Jefferson University is rooted in a long-standing relationship between both institutions of higher education,” noted Dr. Lovell Pugh-Bassett, president of Camden County College. “This program signifies our shared commitment to educational achievement for the employees and communities that we serve.

“We demonstrate that commitment by offering relevant and affordable pathways to associates, bachelor’s, and advanced degrees in our common southern New Jersey and Philadelphia region and beyond.”
