The Burlington County Commissioners congratulate County Administrator Eve Cullinan on her Voice of Business Award from the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Cullinan is the recipient of this year’s Public Voice Award recognizing a government official or entity who has helped enrich the area’s economic development and supported a strong, positive business climate in Burlington County.
“Burlington County values its businesses and Eve has been instrumental to everything our county does to support them and help them find success,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Dr. Felicia Hopson. “This award is much-deserved recognition of Eve’s leadership and dedication. We are grateful for all she does, and we’re excited to see her recognized by Burlington County’s business community.”
Cullinan has served as County Administrator since 2015 and is charged with the daily operations of Burlington County’s government and workforce. She is credited with helping to lead Burlington County’s COVID-19 pandemic response and other key initiatives, including the design and start of construction on Burlington County’s first-ever emergency shelter, the launch of the Housing Hub and Recovery Center at the Burlington County Human Services Complex in Westampton and the widening of Route 530 through Southampton, Pemberton Borough and Pemberton Township.
During her tenure, Burlington County has continued to add to its inventory of more than 63,000 acres of preserved farmland and the growth of the Burlington County Parks System and its network of more than 50 miles of regional and interior parks trails. The county also created its annual Restaurant Week promotion and partnered with the Burlington County Bridge Commission Department of Economic Development to create a small business workshop series.
Cullinan also currently serves as a Burlington County representative to the New Jersey Association of Counties and as a member of the association’s board of directors. The nonpartisan association advocates on behalf of New Jersey’s 21 counties to promote legislation, regulations and policy directives that empower county governments to operate more efficiently and effectively. Recently, Cullinan was appointed by the governor to serve as a trustee for the Police & Firemen’s Retirement System of New Jersey (PFRSNJ) Board of Trustees.
Prior to her appointment as administrator, Cullinan spent three years as the Health Department Director and 10 years as administrator of then-Buttonwood Hospital in Pemberton. She also worked for five years as a nursing home administrator at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. She remains a fellow with the American College of Health Care Administrators and a New Jersey licensed nursing home administrator.
