Sen. Troy Singleton is hosting the Mobile Motor Vehicle Commission at the Palmyra Community Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 5. Appointment required.

Thursdays

Counselors are on hand at Palmyra Police headquarters, 20 West Broad St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday for those struggling with substance abuse as part of the Straight to Treatment program. No appointment or insurance is needed, just walk right in and be helped.

Virtua Health Screens – noon to 2 p.m. – at the Palmyra Community Center, 30 W. Broad Street. Open to all community members ages 18 plus. No registration is required and its free.

Wednesday, Sept. 3

Palmyra Police Officers Association will host Back to School Bash from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on 20 W. Broad Street. There will be backpack giveaways with school supplies. If you wish to join, be a partner, and or donate please contact Patrolman Matthew Maresca at mmaresca@palmyrapd.org.

Shade Tree Advisory meeting will be held at 7 p.m., 20 W Broad St.

Friday, Sept. 5

Purple and Teal Ribbon Walk event will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Meet at Main Street and Little Broad Riverton and end at Chief Flournoy Park. There will be food trucks and speakers.

Wednesday, Sept. 10

Palmyra Board of Education meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Charles Street School gymnasium.

Saturday, Sept. 13

Palmyra 2025 Fall Townwide yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rain date is Sept. 14.

Blood Drives

The American Red Cross urges donors to keep the blood supply top of mind and help save lives by making an appointment to give blood or platelets. All who come to give through Sept. 21 will get an exclusive Red Cross x PEANUTS mystery bag with one of four special T-shirt designs, while they last. Donors won’t know which one they receive until they open the bag. Visit RedCrossBlood.org.

Riverfront Seniors

Riverfront Seniors, formerly Palmyra Seniors, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization for persons 55 years or over who reside in Burlington County and surrounding areas. Members from area towns meet at the Palmyra Community Center each month September to June. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays. Doors open to the members at 9 a.m., the meeting starts at 10 a.m., and at 11 a.m., the program is presented. On first and third Fridays, members can enjoy Bingo, lunch and a movie at the community center. Anyone may attend one meeting free to meet everyone. Palmyra War Memorial Committee

The Palmyra War Memorial Committee meets four times a year and holds its annual Memorial Day observance. They also do cleanups at the memorial at least two times a year. If you are interested please email palmyrawarmemorial@gmail.com.

Seniors Lunch

The monthly seniors lunch event is held every third Tuesday at the Christ Episcopal Church Parish House, 4th and Howard St., Riverton. All are invited for the free lunch and can bring a friend. A chair lift is available. If you need a ride or know someone who does call SEN HAN Transportation at (877) 603-5111 to register. For more information visit christriverton.org. The lunch is free of charge, but donations are welcome.

Custom engraved Chief Payton Flournoy Park brick pavers still available. For $50 you can have one of the brick pavers at the entrance to the park engraved with your name, family or personal message. To reserve your personalized brick paver please print and complete this FORM and return it to Palmyra Borough Hall, 20 W. Broad St., along with a check made payable to the Borough of Palmyra in the amount of $50 per each brick paver requested. Forms are also available at Borough Hall. Engravings will be ordered once payment is received. Proceeds benefit the Borough’s Recreation Trust Fund, which is used for projects and staffing for recreational activities.
