Counselors are on hand at Palmyra Police headquarters, 20 West Broad St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday for those struggling with substance abuse as part of the Straight to Treatment program. No appointment or insurance is needed, just walk right in and be helped.

Through January

Public Works will be collecting Christmas trees during the entire month of January and should place their tree at the curb for collection. Palmyra Harbour resident should place their trees in the appropriate collection area designated by PHCA Management. Remove all ornaments, lights and stands and don’t leave tree in a plastic cover.

The Palmyra Board of Education will hold special meetings at 6 p.m. for superintendent interviews.

Sunday, Feb. 9

Palmyra Fire Department will hold its 27th annual Fisherman’s Flea Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Charles Street School, 100 West Charles Street. Riverfront Seniors

Riverfront Seniors, formerly Palmyra Seniors, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization for persons 55 years or over who reside in Burlington County and surrounding areas. Members from area towns meet at the Palmyra Community Center each month September to June. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays. Doors open to the members at 9 a.m., the meeting starts at 10 a.m., and at 11 a.m., the program is presented. On first and third Fridays, members can enjoy Bingo, lunch and a movie at the community center. Anyone may attend one meeting free to meet everyone. Palmyra War Memorial Committee

The Palmyra War Memorial Committee meets four times a year and holds its annual Memorial Day observance. They also do cleanups at the memorial at least two times a year.

Seniors Lunch

The monthly seniors lunch event is held every third Tuesday at the Christ Episcopal Church Parish House, 4th and Howard St., Riverton. All are invited for the free lunch and can bring a friend. A chair lift is available. If you need a ride or know someone who does call SEN HAN Transportation at (877) 603-5111 to register. For more information visit christriverton.org. The lunch is free of charge, but donations are welcome.

Custom engraved Chief Payton Flournoy Park brick pavers still available. For $50 you can have one of the brick pavers at the entrance to the park engraved with your name, family or personal message. To reserve your personalized brick paver please print and complete this FORM and return it to Palmyra Borough Hall, 20 W. Broad St., along with a check made payable to the Borough of Palmyra in the amount of $50 per each brick paver requested. Forms are also available at Borough Hall. Engravings will be ordered once payment is received. Proceeds benefit the Borough’s Recreation Trust Fund, which is used for projects and staffing for recreational activities.
