Halloween parade volunteers sought

Courtesy of Palmyra Halloween Committee Parker’s Flower Shop’s John Rothgerber served as Grand Marshal of the 2024 Palmyra Halloween Parade. Parker’s Flowers has been a Palmyra landmark since it was established in 1921 by Edwin and Ruth Parker. Rothgerber purchased the business in 2000 and has been dedicated to keeping the spirit and tradition of Parker’s Flowers alive.

The Palmyra Halloween Committee is seeking volunteers for its parade, which returns on Thursday, Oct. 30.

Can you build a float? Gather a group in costume? Help behind the scenes? Here are some volunteer roles:

  • Parade and contest planning
  • Website/social media help
  • Fundraising and sponsorship outreach
  • Awards and parade pin design
  • School event coordination
  • Parade night: setup, registration, judging, photography and more.
