Two township police officers have been honored for their commitment to enforcing drunk-driving laws.

During the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) New Jersey Annual Recognition Ceremony on June 13, Gregory Germscheid and Cpl. Kevin McGowan were recognized for exemplary service.

Germscheid earned the Top Cop Award for Gloucester County, a testament to his dedication to combating impaired driving. McGowan got a Recognition of Excellence Award Certificate and the Drug Recognition Expert Award Certificate, testaments to his expertise in enforcement efforts.

The awards recognized the officers’ contributions to drunk and drugged driving enforcement in 2024.

“Please join us in extending congratulations to Patrolman Germscheid and Cpl. McGowan for their exceptional achievements,” the police department noted on Facebook. “We commend their exemplary service and take immense pride in their representation of the Harrison Township Police Department.”
