A group of masked men in a dark-colored truck were seen trying to unlock car doors in the township’s Willowbrook Farms neighborhood just before midnight on May 17. Police arrived within minutes and gave chase, but the suspects ran off.

The incident is a reminder from police to observe the 9 p.m. Routine, a series of four steps residents can take to prevent vehicle break-ins: lock car doors, hide valuables, secure the key fob and turn on exterior lights.

“Please continue (the steps) and keep those security cameras rolling,” police urged on social media.
