Five high-school seniors from the class of 2025 who played baseball in the Harrison Township Little League will stick with their bats and gloves by committing to the sport when they move on to college.

The five are Giovanni Marinucci, a pitcher and infielder who will attend Gwynedd Mercy University; Tyler Dell, a pitcher and infielder who will attend Montclair State University; Chase Brandt, a pitcher, infielder and outfielder who will attend Wagner College; Braden Reiter, an infielder who will head to Thomas Jefferson University; and Billy Neuman, who will pitch for Eckerd College.

Marinucci, Dell and Reiter attend Clearview Regional, while Brandt and Neuman are at Bishop Eustace Prep and Salesianum School, respectively. They all play for varsity teams.

“It’s awesome to see,” said Little-League coach Barry Brandt. “It’s incredible seeing these guys move on to the next level and achieve their dreams. All five found their college of choice last year. They’re hoping to put on the cap of their high-school career and move on.”

According to Brandt, three of the five students were on the same tee ball team and have been playing together ever since. Now all five will play in the NCAA: Division I, in the case of Wagner College; Division II at Jefferson and Eckerd; and Division III, in the case of Gwynedd Mercy and Montclair State.

“They all grew up here,” said the coach. “They went from playing tee, through little-league baseball, through high school and now they’re in college. It really speaks to their commitment and dedication to the sport.”
