I am thrilled to invite our community to come together for the Smiles4Cures Hot Chocolate Run, an incredible event supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Organized by three inspiring Clearview High School juniors – Grace Calhoun, Lily Pedersen and Rachael Williams – this event is part of their ambitious effort to raise $50,000 to fight blood cancers.

The event will take place rain or shine at Chestnut Branch Park on Saturday, March 8. The 5K will start at 9 a.m. and a 1-mile walk will begin shortly after. Whether you’re a competitive runner or simply want to enjoy a walk with neighbors, this is a great way to show support. All registered participants receive a custom race T-shirt, and the morning will feature hot chocolate, music and community spirit.

Beyond participating, I encourage you to donate and spread the word. The Smiles4Cures team is making a real impact, and it’s inspiring to see our youth leading the charge for such a meaningful cause. Let’s rally together as a township to support their mission and stand in solidarity with those affected by blood cancers.

To register or donate, please go to runsignup.com and show your support.
