Richwood United Methodist Church will hold its fourth annual Carnival for a Cause on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the church grounds, 111 Richwood Road. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held indoors. Hours will be 1 to 4:30 p.m. and will include:

  • Games and contests for kids and adults
  • Food for sale: burgers, dogs, soft pretzels, frozen bananas, popcorn, cotton candy, etc.
  • A free magic show at 3 p.m. Bring a lawn chair.
  • A basket auction
  • A silent auction featuring two brand new bikes
  • A dessert auction with homemade creations
  • Face painting and clowns

The event is free, but costs for food, some games and auction tickets will apply. Proceeds will benefit The Nature Center under Jacob’s Ladder Rescue Inc. (www.jacobsladderrescue.org) to provide scholarships for neurodivergent and disabled children who are homeschooled out of necessity.
