Tai Chi for Health: Ages 18 years and up. 4 to 5 p.m. at the Mount Laurel Library. Certified instructor Bob Stanton teaches tai chi, a gentle exercise that can improve muscle tone, flexibility, and coordination. This class can be done seated or standing. ESL Conversation Class with NJ Literacy: Ages 18 years and up. 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mount Laurel Library. This ESL class is for upper level beginner to lower level intermediate learners. The Mount Laurel Library will be closed in observance of the Juneteenth.
Juneteenth Event: All residents. 4 to 7 p.m. at Laurel Acres Park. The township and it’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Board is inviting all residents to celebrate the federal holiday Juneteenth, which commemorates the official emancipation of enslaved Black Americans in Texas on June 19, 1865. The event will include historical exhibits, educational information, vendors, breweries, food trucks, and giveaways. No registration required.

Music for Adults with Disabilities:Â For ages 18 years and up. 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Mount Laurel Library. Join Mr. Jim Gaven for a fun, interactive music program designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This program will include sing-a-longs, guided percussion activities, and sign language through song.
Interested participants should note that the library does not provide respite care; caregivers are required to stay with adults who need them. Adults who do not require a caregiver are also welcome to attend. Registration required at www.mountlaurel.librarycalendar.com (register participants only; no need to register caregivers).

Mahjong: Ages 18 years and up. 1 to 4 p.m. at the Mount Laurel Library. Mahjong is a popular tile-based game of strategy and skill. Some experience is recommended for this event. Participants may bring a National Mahjong League 2023 card and a mahjong set. No registration required.
La Hora del Cuento en Español: Ages 2 to 5 years. 5 to 6 p.m. at the Mount Laurel Library. Join the library to enjoy Spanish Story Time and learn through the imitation of songs, verses, and games while the class immerses in a new culture and language. This program will contribute to the integral development of children, cultivating the growth of imagination and meaningful exploration.
