Cooper University Health Care and The Cooper Foundation named a premier space at Cooper’s Moorestown campus in honor of contributors Daniel and Lisa Falasca on June 16.

Their gift of $1.5 million marks the first major philanthropic investment in the outpatient facility. Daniel is president of Falasca Mechanical Inc., a Vineland-based solutions provider he founded 27 years ago. The couple live in Haddonfield.

“It isn’t just about beautiful lettering … placed on the wall behind me, but it represents a powerful chapter in Cooper’s story, expanding our reach and deepening our impact …” said Lisa Morina, chief philanthropy officer for the foundation.

Since its opening, Cooper’s Moorestown campus has supported more than 150,000 patient visits, including 107,000 office visits and more than 4,500 surgeries, according to Morina. The team includes more than 160 physicians and advanced practice providers, representing 27 medical and surgical specialties.

“This campus is not just meeting today’s needs,” Morina noted. “It’s a platform for innovation and future growth. Progress happens when people, purpose and partners come together. Daniel and Lisa Falasca are exceptional examples of that belief in action. Their trust, their leadership and their generosity are helping shape the future of care across South Jersey.

“Your support is a gift to the many families we serve each day,” Morina told the couple. “We are deeply grateful. These are the types of gifts we celebrate at Cooper, not just for the opportunity to celebrate a naming, but for the future they help make possible.”

The Cooper Foundation supports patients, services, research and educational programs at Cooper University Health Care, one of the largest health systems in the area.

“At Cooper we often say, ‘success is rooted in relationships,’ and the Falasca family is a shining example of that,” noted attorney Philip Norcross, the foundation’s board chair. “Their gift is already shaping this building and the patients today, but more importantly, it’s going to shape the generations to come.

“The Falascas’ leadership has clearly helped bring this campus to life – I think Dan can tell you that with his own two hands – and it will continue to grow with their help and compassion.”

“To the entire Cooper community, your tireless dedication to health and healing inspires all of us to do more and be better,” Daniel stated. “This dedication is not about a name on the wall, it’s about what happens within these walls. The lives changed, the breakthroughs made, and the compassion shown.

“That is what truly matters, and we are truly honored to be even a small part of that story.”
