Coffee with a Cop. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. Join your neighbors and officers from the Moorestown Police Department for coffee and conversation. Learn about services you may not have known were available to you, and become familiar with the faces serving the township behind the badges. The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers in your neighborhood. Registration is required on the library website.

Puzzle Giveaway. Moorestown Library. Stop by the lobby from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to pick up a free puzzle. Available while supplies last.

Stop by the Moorestown Library’s Info Desk from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Spice Grab and Go. This month features turmeric.⁠ This spice was packaged in a facility with nuts. Please do not use if you have a nut allergy. Sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library.

Celebrate The Day of the Dead by watching Disney’s “Coco” at the Moorestown Library at 10 a.m. Participants will also make a Day of the Dead craft. This event is for children of all ages. Registration is not required.

SATURDAY, Nov. 9

Hora de Cuentos: Bilingual Story Time with Ms. Joselyn. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. Join Ms. Joselyn for a morning of stories and songs in Spanish and English. This event is for children ages three and up. Registration is not required.

Kids Chess with Scott Gorman. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. This event is for students in second grade and up. Learn the lessons in chess rules and strategy, then pair up with an opponent to play a game or two. Registration is required on the library website.

Lego Challenge. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. Do you enjoy Legos and building challenges? Design creations and show off your creative side. This event is for students in grades two through eight. Registration is required on the library website.

Concert: Charlie Zahm, Celtic and Maritime Medley. Moorestown Library. 2 p.m. This concert is best suited for adults, teens and children elementary school-age and up. Pennsylvania-based singer/guitarist Zahm brings his big song bag of the best selections from Ireland, Scotland and the Sea to the library. Songs of love, home, adventure, and everything in between. Sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library and Wegmans. Registration is required on the library website.

SUNDAY, Nov. 10

Jeff Zieger: Holocaust Survivor Testimony Series. Moorestown Library. 2 p.m. Hear former Moorestown resident Zieger tell the incredible Holocaust survival story of his father’s family. Registration is required on the library website.

Complex PTSD Support Group and Book Club. The goal of this group is to provide encouragement, support and education in a safe environment for any adult who is struggling to overcome the effects of suffering from extended Complex-PTSD. For more information, visit the library’s website.

Flying Heavy: The Story of the C5-A Galaxy Military Aircraft. Moorestown Library. 6:30 p.m. In this program, attendees will learn about the C5-A, the largest aircraft ever built, including the specifications and history. Registration is required on the library website.

Monday Night Movie and Discussion: “White Heat.” Moorestown Library. 6:30 p.m. James Cagney plays Cody Jarrett, a criminal on the edge obsessed with his domineering mother. After escaping from prison with other cons, Jarrett plans to rob a chemical company, but a wrench is thrown into his scheme. Sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library. TUESDAY, Nov. 12

Irish Literature Book Club. Moorestown Library. 6:30 p.m. This book club will focus on Irish authors. Select a title of your choice, written by an Irish author, to discuss at the book club. Registration is required on the library website.

Wednesday Wisdom: On Intellectual Well-Being: Live Zoom Program. 10:30 a.m. Well-being is an important part of living a healthy and fulfilled life. This week, participants will learn about how to recognize creative abilities and find ways to expand knowledge and skills. This event is a partnership with the Monmouth County Library. Register at monmouthcountylib.org to receive emailed information on how to access the conversation.

Essential Tools for students and teachers when dealing with bullying behavior. Moorestown Library. 6:30 p.m. This workshop will provide students, teachers and parents the essential tools needed when dealing with bullying behavior. Presenter Jack Gardner will define bullying behavior and how it effects the long- and short-term growth of adolescents. Also discussed will be the warning signs and what we can do to eliminate the bullying behavior in our schools. Registration is required on the library website.

SATURDAY, Nov. 16

Friends Coffee Table Book Sale. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. Stop by and shop for holiday bargains at the annual Friends Coffee Table Book Sale. Books are $5 each. All proceeds benefit the library.

Kids Chess Club. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. This event is for students in grades three through eight. Learn the names of chess pieces, the rules of movements on the board and basic strategies for playing the game, then pair up with an opponent to play chess games. There will also be open play space for experienced chess players. Registration is required on the library website.

SUNDAY, Nov. 17

Kids Drop-in Craft. Stop by the Moorestown Library’s Collab Lab at 2 p.m. to decorate sandwich bags for Every Sandwich Counts, a community-wide initiative encouraging families to make sandwiches for Cathedral Kitchen in Camden and Project Home in Philadelphia.
