SATURDAY, Feb. 22

Roll a story with Ms. Donna. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. For children ages 5-10. Create a seasonal story using dice and a Roll a Story board. An adult must remain in the library with children under 10 years old.

Read to Bindi the therapy dog. Moorestown Library. 11 a.m.

Local author talk. Moorestown Library. This program will feature Joseph Badowski, author of “406: A Story about the Greatest Baseball Game Ever Played.” Register on the library website.

SUNDAY, Feb. 23

Our Stories: Brave Conversations on Race. Moorestown Library. To honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the National Day of Racial Healing, and Black History Month, facilitators Tamara Johns and Karen Reiner will be offering an engaging, interactive session of Our Stories: Brave Conversations on Race. This program is presented by MooreUnity. Registration is encouraged but not required.

The Moorestown Library Teen Advisory Board presents: Cartooning workshop – anime and manga with Ryan Barr. Moorestown Library. For ages 12-18. This one session workshop will focus on character design and exploration. Sponsored by the library’s Teen Advisory Board. Register on the library website.

MONDAY, Feb. 24

Baby time for ages 0-2. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m.

Knitting group meetup. Moorestown Library. 10:30 a.m.

Open play time for children of all ages. Moorestown Library. 10:30 a.m.

ESL (English as a Second Language) conversation group. Moorestown Library. 5 p.m. This program will invite general, engaging conversation that will guide the class. Practice speaking and comprehension to improve your English language skills.

International cinema and discussion night with Michael. Moorestown Library. 6:30 p.m. Participants will enjoy old and contemporary movies from around the world, including but not limited to Europe, South America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. All films are screened in their original language with English subtitles and a short discussion will follow each film. This program will feature “Marguerite’s Theorem.”

Stop by the Moorestown Library at 11:30 a.m. for stories from Disney’s “Frozen,” a frosty craft and a special musical performance featuring cast members from Moorestown Theater Company’s upcoming musical “Frozen Jr.” This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

SUNDAY, March 2

Culture4Kids presents: Brazil and Carnaval. Moorestown Library. For children ages 4-10. TAB volunteer Maya Saltzman will present a Culture 4 Kids presentation on Brazil’s Carnaval that includes a variety of engaging activities. A reading of “Bisa’s Carnaval” by Joana Pastro, a presentation highlighting the traditions of Carnaval and a hands-on craft where children will create their own masks. This program is sponsored by the Teen Advisory Board. Register on the library website.

The West Jersey Chamber Music Society continues its season with a mesmerizing evening of German Romantic Lieder, featuring the timeless works of Franz Schubert and Hugo Wolf. This program will be held at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown and will feature internationally acclaimed musicians Sophia Santiago (Soprano) and Benjamin D’Annibale. For those who cannot attend, a live broadcast will be available free of charge at https://wjcms.org/live/ at concert time.
