Howard Gospel Choir returns to South Jersey

The Howard Gospel Choir (HGC) of Howard University returns this fall for a free choral performance at the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown on Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. Founded as the first collegiate gospel choir in the world, the HGC has earned a distinguished international reputation. The ensemble consists of over 70 members, including students, alumni, and community members, and is one of the largest religious organizations on Howard University’s campus.

The church’s Contemporary Praise Band led by Associate Pastor Wes Allen, will open the evening.

A free will offering will be collected. Attendees are also encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for donation to the Moorestown Ministerium food pantry.
