“In our times today, there are good days and bad days, and everybody’s got something on their shoulders that they’re holding on to, so if you can spend an hour-and-a-half just laughing about life…,” said MoorArts vice president Andrea Seuren.

Hall’s witty style has captivated audiences around the country. Her album, “Miss Representation,” made the Grammy entry list for funniest comedy album and her latest recording, “Scoot Up,” is airing on Sirius XM radio. Hall performs with the national touring shows “Women of a Certain Age” and “Ladies of Laughter.”

Reiner, Moorestown’s 2023 Citizen of the Year, is also a comedic storyteller and stand-up comic. In “Karen Reiner Comes Clean,” she makes her audience laugh but never blush in performances around the region.

Recently featured on the TV show “Right This Minute,” Marsdale is a frequent performer in Atlantic City and is known for his dead-on impressions and observational humor. Marsdale’s comedy influences started at a young age with George Carlin, Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy records.

“We are all carrying something,” Seuren noted, “and if we could just have a night that nothing existed but laughing at somebody on stage, then you have a little break from the real world.”

MoorArts is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the fine and performing arts in Moorestown’s public schools and throughout the community and to expanding arts opportunities and awareness by teaming with community organizations. Its goals are to support a quality curriculum in the fine and performing arts in the school district and to provide venues for showcasing talent.

Proceeds from all events support MoorArts’ scholarships and teacher grants for arts-related projects in the township’s public schools.

Seating for comedy night is theater-style, first come, first served and doors will open at 7 p.m. Limited bar service (beer, wine, soda, water) will be available; attendees can purchase beverage tickets with their admission or at the event.

THE GOOD LIFE

Eleanor Hope Fuhs’ obituary is a long one, full of accomplishments, love for family and an ending that came only after a fight. Known as Dr. Hope, “she was a literal genius, a mathematician, a teacher, a musician and an artist,” that obituary notes. “She was a trailblazer in education who selflessly steered her students, colleagues and her family with love, a sense of humor and a quiet fortitude.”
