The Strengthening Families Program
Prevention Plus of Burlington County is offering The Strengthening Families Program, a national recognized science-based, outcome-oriented model specifically designed to build on the strengths of youth and their families to address the challenges of children and adolescents ages 7-17 and their caregivers. Dates and times are Tuesday evenings in March and April held at Southampton School No. 1. Craft Fair hosted by Shawnee Marching Band will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Shawnee High School, 600 Tabernacle Road. There will be over 150 vendors, basket raffles and a visit from the Easter Bunny!

The Pinelands Garden Club of Medford meets at the United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Road, Medford. Next meeting is at 9:30 a.m., March 10. The program will be on propagation of plants. Visitors and new members are welcome.

The Berry Basket Quilters present Quilts in Bloom at Kirby’s Mill Elementary School, 151 Hartford Road, Medford. The quilt show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 5 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 6. There will be a boutique, basket raffle, vendors, scissor sharpening, challenge quilts, raffle quilt, quilt appraisals and refreshments. The Pinelands Garden Club of Medford is offering its one year, $1,500 scholarship to one or two graduating seniors from local high schools in the Lenape Regional High School District and Medford Campus BCIT (Burlington County Institute of Technology). Any graduating senior is eligible to apply if he/she is planning to obtain a two- or four-year degree with the intent to pursue a career in: Agriculture Education, Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Environmental Science, City Planning, Land Management and related subjects.
This is a one-time, one-year scholarship in a selected field of study. The information required on the application form will be used only for the purpose of awarding the scholarship. Major determining factors in awarding this scholarship are closeness to the above fields of study and financial need.
All completed applications must be received by mail and postmarked no later than March 28 and should be mailed to: Gail Crane, 143 Wahwahtaysee Trail, Medford Lakes, NJ 08055.

Medford Township is offering businesses and residents an opportunity to sponsor new banners for Main Street. This project originated with the Woman’s Club of Medford in 2015. Now, after eight years of proudly being displayed, it’s time to replace them. Each banner will include the name of the sponsor and will be attached to the light poles along Main Street.
