Donating blood in March is part of Red Cross Month, a national campaign that encourages people to deliver support when help can’t wait by also making a financial donation, volunteering or taking a lifesaving skills class. Types O, A negative and B negative blood donors are especially needed now.
Red Cross offers free A1C testing as 1 in 5 donors have levels in prediabetic or diabetic range. Successful donations will receive free testing in March and a $15 Amazon gift card by email for coming to give through March 31.
If you’re unable to give blood or platelets, consider making a financial donation to support the organization’s lifesaving mission at redcross.org.

Visitor Center is open every first and third Sunday between 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 210 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford. Mindfulness sessions are held every month on the third Sunday at 1 p.m.

Fourth annual Fur Baby Festival and Pup Strut will be held from noon to 5:30 p.m. at Freedom Park. Kick off the day with our first-ever Pup Strut 2K, a fun, relaxed walk with your dog before the festival opens. All breeds, all ages, all vibes welcome — high-energy pups and stroller riders alike! Walk begins at 11 a.m. Proceeds benefit Pawsome Cause.

Music on the Porch Fest will feature performances by local artists along Main Street. First session is from 3 to 6 p.m. and second session is from 6 to 9 p.m.

Medford Township is offering businesses and residents an opportunity to sponsor new banners for Main Street. This project originated with the Woman’s Club of Medford in 2015. Now, after eight years of proudly being displayed, it’s time to replace them. Each banner will include the name of the sponsor and will be attached to the light poles along Main Street. Helping Hand Grief Support meets Mondays at Fellowship Alliance Chapel from 7-9 p.m. Meetings are hybrid with in-person at our church facility, and via Zoom Communications at the same time.
