Dr. James Still Historic Office Site Assocation

Visitor Center is open every first and third Sunday between 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 210 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford. Mindfulness sessions are held every month on the third Sunday at 1 p.m.

Saturday, May 3 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Third annual community wellness fair. Rain date is Sunday, May 4.

The Strengthening Families Program

Prevention Plus of Burlington County is offering The Strengthening Families Program, a national recognized science-based, outcome-oriented model specifically designed to build on the strengths of youth and their families to address the challenges of children and adolescents ages 7-17 and their caregivers. Dates and times are Tuesday evenings in March and April held at Southampton School No. 1. Come out and join Freedom Barks Dog Park in support of K9 Veteran’s Day and donation drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Freedom Park. Rolling Thunder Chapter 4 is hosting the donation drive for the U.S. War Dogs Association. They will be joined by the Cawfee truck, Saint Rocco’s Treats, and Mission 22.

Wednesday, April 2

Neighborhood meeting for residents of Historic Medford Village will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Cranberry Hall. Two members of Township Council will discuss and get feedback on how to improve the parking concerns affecting the area.

Thursday, April 3

The Medford Historical Society begins a series of lectures on the American Revolution at 7 p.m., April 3 at the Medford Friends Meeting, 14 Union St.

Saturday and Sunday, April 5-6

The Berry Basket Quilters present Quilts in Bloom at Kirby’s Mill Elementary School, 151 Hartford Road, Medford. The quilt show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 5 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 6. There will be a boutique, basket raffle, vendors, scissor sharpening, challenge quilts, raffle quilt, quilt appraisals and refreshments. The Shawnee High School Interact Club is holding The Light the Night Walk fundraising event to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at 7:30 p.m., April 9 on the Shawnee High School turf field. The event is open to the public and donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be accepted.

Saturday, April 12

Medford is having a Community Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to noon at Freedom Park. For more information contact the Medford Womans Club at medfordwomansclub@gmail.com. There is a $20 fee to reserve a space, which will go towards the club’s scholarship.

Sunday, May 18

Medford Historical Society is hosting a Car and Craft Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 275 Church Road. Currently they are seeking vendors.

The Pinelands Garden Club of Medford meets at the United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Road, Medford.

The Pinelands Garden Club of Medford is offering its one year, $1,500 scholarship to one or two graduating seniors from local high schools in the Lenape Regional High School District and Medford Campus BCIT (Burlington County Institute of Technology). Any graduating senior is eligible to apply if he/she is planning to obtain a two- or four-year degree with the intent to pursue a career in: Agriculture Education, Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Environmental Science, City Planning, Land Management and related subjects.

This is a one-time, one-year scholarship in a selected field of study. The information required on the application form will be used only for the purpose of awarding the scholarship. Major determining factors in awarding this scholarship are closeness to the above fields of study and financial need.

All completed applications must be received by mail and postmarked no later than March 28 and should be mailed to: Gail Crane, 143 Wahwahtaysee Trail, Medford Lakes, NJ 08055.

The recipient and school will be notified by April 30. Arrangements to present the scholarship award will be announced later in May. For any questions, email gzcnj1@gmail.com

Medford Township is offering businesses and residents an opportunity to sponsor new banners for Main Street. This project originated with the Woman’s Club of Medford in 2015. Now, after eight years of proudly being displayed, it’s time to replace them. Each banner will include the name of the sponsor and will be attached to the light poles along Main Street.
