Ramadan Crescent Moon Lighting set for next month

The Marlton Muslim Families nonprofit is once again working with the township to host a Ramadan Crescent Moon Lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 inside the township’s municipal complex at 984 Tuckerton Road.

The event will mark the start of Ramadan month on Feb. 17. In addition to the lighting, the evening will feature educational information about the holiday and remarks from local officials. After the ceremony, the display will be moved to the corner of Main Street and Maple Avenue.

As in previous years, residents of all faiths and backgrounds are invited to participate.
