The Marlton Muslim Families nonprofit is again partnering with the township to host a Ramadan Crescent Moon lighting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.
The event will once again be held at the corner of Main Street and Maple Avenue and will mark the start of Ramadan on Friday, Feb. 28. In addition to a lighted Crescent Moon display, the ceremony will feature educational information and remarks from local officials. The Crescent Moon will be displayed through the month of Ramadan.
Residents of all faiths and backgrounds are invited to the ceremony and are encouraged to educate one another about cultural differences while also sharing many similarities.
Rain date is Thursday, Feb. 27.
