Pinelands Garden Club offers scholarship

The Pinelands Garden Club of Medford is offering its annual $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior from local high schools in the Lenape Regional High School District and the Medford campus of the Burlington County Institute of Technology.

Any graduating senior is eligible to apply if he/she plans to obtain a two- or four-year degree in agriculture education, horticulture, floriculture, landscape design, botany, plant pathology, agronomy, environmental science, city planning, land management and related subjects.

The scholarship is a one-time, one-year award in a selected field of study. Information required on its application form will be used only for the purpose of awarding the scholarship. Major factors are closeness to the fields of study and financial need.

Applications must be received by mail and postmarked no later than Friday, March 27, and should be mailed to Gail Crane, 143 Wahwahtaysee Trail, Medford Lakes, 08055. The recipient and their school will be notified by Thursday, April 30.
