Wednesday, Dec. 10

Intro to Excel: For ages 18 years and up. 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Get started with Microsoft Excel. Students will learn the basics of Excel, from getting familiar with the interface to using pre-made templates to setting up spreadsheets with simple functions and visual styling. Alternatives to Excel, as well as how to set up and maintain a personal home budget, will also be covered. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Thursday, Dec. 11

Gentle Chair Yoga: For adults. 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. at the Evesham Library. this gentle yoga session encourages participants to relax their mind, move their body and increase their flexibility while using a chair for support. This class is ideal for those who feel stiffness or have limited mobility. This program is presented by a certified yoga instructor, who has been teaching since 2013. Bring Your Own Book For Teens: For ages 13 to 18 years. 6 to 7 p.m. at the Evesham Library. In this unique book group, everyone brings their own book. It could be a favorite recent read, the book they’re currently reading or their favorite book of all time. Think of it like book show and tell. There’s no pressure to have read anything each month to participate. Just show up and have fun talking about books. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Sunday, Dec. 14

Sound Bath Meditation: For adults. 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to immerse themselves in the healing sounds of instruments including gongs, singing bowls, chimes, drums and a rain stick as they are guided through this meditation. These instruments may help to remove blockages and create a state of deep relaxation and connection, while restoring alignment and calming the nervous system. Participants should bring a journal to jot down their experiences as the session will finish with an optional group discussion. Participants may bring items such as a yoga mat, pillow, blanket/towel and water, as well as any metaphysical items they would like to clear and cleanse. Monday, Dec. 15

Anime, Movies, and more: For ages 13 to 15 years. 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Evesham Library. A casual gathering for new and seasoned anime fans. This month’s anime is TBD. Light refreshments will be available. This program is presented by library staff. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Tuesday, Dec. 16

Homeschool DIY: For ages 6 to 9 years. 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. This program invites all kids who want to learn a hands-on crafting activity. This time the class will be making clay winter ornaments. This program is presented by library staff.

Digital Books and more with Libby by Overdrive: For adults. 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Are you brand new to using the library’s digital collection? Do you want to transfer digital books to a Kindle, Nook or other device? Interested in digital magazines or digital audiobooks? Are you used to an older version of the service, or otherwise having trouble with navigating the Libby app? Then this class is for you. Participants will learn the ins and outs of the library’s digital collection and the many ways they can access and interact with it. This program is presented by library staff.

First Chapter Book Group: For ages 6 to 12 years. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. This group for kids is a great way to learn about a variety of books and books series. Participants will have a snack and get a sneak peak into a new book each month. After reading the first chapter (sometimes more), the class will play games or do a craft related to the book. Books will be provided, and it is not required to read ahead of time. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.
