Wednesday, Sept. 17

Adult Yarn Group: For ages 18 years and up. 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to join other knitters and crocheters for a fun and relaxing time to work on a current project and share ideas, patterns, and tips. This is not an instructional class, but an opportunity to learn as a group from others.

Intro to Excel: For ages 18 years and up. 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Get started with Microsoft Excel. Students will learn the basics of Excel, from getting familiar with the interface to using pre-made templates to setting up spreadsheets with simple functions and visual styling. Alternatives to Excel, as well as how to set up and maintain a personal home budget, will also be covered. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

ELL Movie Matinee: For ages 18 years and up. 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Films can be a effective way to practice language skills. Join the library staff for a viewing of the 2023 Japanese film “Perfect Days.” Participants may practice their English by reading the subtitles. This program is for English language learners, but all are welcome to attend. This film is rated PG and has a runtime of 124 minutes. No registration required.

Thursday, Sept. 18

Preschool STEAM Time: For ages 3 to 5 years. 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Evesham Library. In this program participants will be building on preschoolers’ natural curiosity by reading, singing, playing, and creating to help develop their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills through play and exploration. After a quick story time, children will rotate through stations. The library asks that caregivers come prepared to participate. This week the class will be learning about weather. Participants should dress for a mess. Friday, Sept. 19

Super Awesome Sing-Along: For ages 3 to 9 years. 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Young residents are invited to join Key of Awesome Music for a fun sing-along. This event features popular traditional tunes like “Wheels on the Bus” and “Old McDonald,” plus original songs. Participants can also try out different percussion instruments like egg shakers and tambourines while they play, sing, and dance along. This program is presented by Key of Awesome Music, which has been providing music lessons and performances to over 300 individuals and organizations since 2018. Monday, Sept., 22

Yoga for Little Ones: Ages 3 to 5 years. 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to join the library staff for a children’s yoga class, where children will get to practice child-friendly poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises, and enjoy some fun games and stories. Children are encouraged to try the movements on their own to help build self-confidence and body awareness. This program is presented by Jennifer Penz of Small Wonders Yoga, a certified yoga instructor of almost 10 years. Registration required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Tuesday, Sept. 23

Burlington County Library System Silent Book Club: For adults 18 years and up. 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Join the library staff for an hour of peaceful, quiet reading. No membership or required reading for this club and all are welcome to bring a book they are currently reading or check out a book from the library’s collection. For the first 15 minutes as everyone arrives, participants will find a seat, get comfortable, and chat about what the class are reading, before the organizer starts a one hour timer. When the timer is up, participants are free to keep reading or chat with other attendees. Registration is not required.
