Wednesday, Sept. 10

Toddler Time: For babies and toddler. 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Join the library staff for stories, movement, and activities designed for toddlers on-the-go. This program focuses on building early literacy skills through naming colors, counting, letter recognition, and more in a fun, interactive environment. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the fun. Toddler Time is also a place to socialize with other families and meet new friends. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Preschool Storytime: For ages 3 to 5 years. 11 to 11:30 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Join the library for fun stories, activities, and a craft! We focus on building early literacy skills such as recognition of the alphabet and written language, as well as oral language skills through rhymes or songs. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the fun! Preschool Storytime is also a great place to socialize with other families and meet new friends. Evesham Township Council Meeting: For all residents. 7 p.m. at the Evesham Township Municipal Building. The monthly meeting of the Evesham Township Council. No registration is required.

Thursday, Sept. 11

9/11 Remembrance Ceremony: All residents. 8:30 a.m. at the Main Street Firehouse (26 E. Main St.).The annual Evesham Township 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will be held at the Evesham Township 9/11 Memorial. The public is invited to join the township as members of Evesham Fire-Rescue, Evesham Township Police, Mayor Jaclyn Veasy and other members of council all reflect on the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. No registration required.

Saturday, Sept. 13

Kids Coding Class – Bring Your Own Device: For ages 7 to 12 years. 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Additional spots are available to join the Marlton Kids Tech Club to learn about technology. Participants can make friends while learning how to code and more. No experience required. Participants must bring their own device that can run MIT Scratch. The library lends Chromebooks and Samsung Galaxy tablets. Both devices work with MIT Scratch. Parent/caregiver of non-readers must stay and assist child. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Sunday, Sept. 14

LeRoy Homer Jr. 5K/1 Mile Walk: For all residents. 9 a.m. at the Memorial Sports Complex on Tuckerton Road. LeRoy Homer, resident of Marlton, was the first officer on United Flight 93 which tragically crashed in Shanksville, PA on Sept. 11, 2001. The crew and passengers are believed to have fought off terrorists and thwarted an attack against the U.S. Capitol. Proceeds from the event will benefit the LeRoy Homer Foundation’s Scholarship program, which awards flight scholarships to young adults who wish to pursue careers in aviation.

This 5K/1 mile walk will include chip timing, HD finish line video, text messaging and instant results on RunSignUp. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be available in each age group. Race day packets will be distributed on race day. Registration link can be found on the township website within the events calendar.
