Wednesday, Aug. 20

Adult Yarn Group: For ages 18 years and up. 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to join other knitters and crocheters for a fun and relaxing time to work on a current project and share ideas, patterns, and tips. This is not an instructional class, but an opportunity to learn as a group from others.

ELL – Conversation Circle: For ages 18 years and up. 2 to 3 p.m. at the Evesham Library. This event is designed for English language learners who want to practice their language skills in a safe and supportive social space. These regular events will feature a variety of topics- including introducing oneself, sharing interests, exploring traditions, and more. No registration required.

Intro to Excel: For ages 18 years and up. 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Get started with Microsoft Excel. Students will learn the basics of Excel, from getting familiar with the interface to using pre-made templates to setting up spreadsheets with simple functions and visual styling. Alternatives to Excel, as well as how to set up and maintain a personal home budget, will also be covered. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Marlton Farmers Market: For all residents. 4 to 7 p.m. at at Evesboro Downs Park (131 Evesboro-Medford Road). The 2025 season of the Marlton Farmers Market is now open and will run every Wednesday afternoon through Sept. 3. Shoppers can get ready to once again enjoy locally-sourced fruits and vegetables, baked goods, home goods, food trucks, artisan product and other great sustainable items.

Thursday, Aug. 21

Marlton Senior Citizen Club: For ages 55 years and up. 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 535 East Main Street. All senior citizens ages 55 and older are welcome to attend these meetings. Meetings take place every first and third Thursday of the month at the Gibson House Community Center. Participants may enjoy coffee, donuts, regularly scheduled games, and other entertainment. Build-A-Bird: For ages 10 to 15 years. 1:45 to 2:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Young residents are invited to see Woodford’s Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge’s wildlife ambassadors as they discuss the diversity of birds and how they use what nature had given them to succeed. Participants will inspect elements from real birds and find out how they succeed in their environment and what there is to learn from bird engineering.

Interested participants should only sign up for one Cedar Run program this day. This program is presented by Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, which provides nature and STEM-based educational programs to over 20,000 participants yearly, in addition to operating a Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital.

Lego Challenge: For ages 6 to 12 years. 3 to 8 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Young residents are invited to take on the library’s LEGO building challenge. The library staff provide the prompts, participants will provide the creativity. Children will be given a specific theme or goal to create a project either separately or together. Building with LEGO supports skill building and problem solving for children. All LEGO bricks will be provided by the library. Participants are not allowed to bring any LEGO bricks from home.

Monday, Aug. 25

Anime, Movies, and More – Teen Edition: Ages 13 to 15 years. 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Evesham Library. This event is a casual gathering for new and seasoned anime fans. This month the class will watch 3 to 4 episodes of an anime chosen by the group. Light refreshments will be available. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.

Free Indoor Summer Concert — Aqua String Band: All residents, 7 to 8 p.m. at the Gibson House Community Center (535 E. Main St.). Residents are invited to join in for the final indoor concert of the summer featuring the Aqua String Band. No registration required.

Tuesday, Aug. 26

First Chapter Book Group: For ages 6 to 12 years. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. This group for kids is a great way to learn about a variety of books and books series. Participants will have a snack and get a sneak peak into a new book each month. After reading the first chapter (sometimes more), the class will play games or do a craft related to the book. Books will be provided, and it is not required to read ahead of time. Registration is required at www.bclsnj.bibliocommons.com.
