Wednesday, March 26

Preschool Story Time: For ages 3 to 6 years. 11 to 11:30 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Join the library staff for stories, activities, and a craft. This class focus on building early literacy skills such as recognition of the alphabet and written language, as well as oral language skills through rhymes or songs. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the fun. Preschool Story Time is also a great place to socialize with other families and meet new friends. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Intro to Excel: For senior citizens. 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Senior residents are invited to get started with Microsoft Excel. Students will learn the basics of Excel, from getting familiar with the interface to using pre-made templates to setting up spreadsheets with simple functions and visual styling. Alternatives to Excel as well as how to set up and maintain a personal home budget will also be covered. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Burlington County Library System Silent Book Club: For adults 18 years and up. 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Join the library staff for an hour of peaceful, quiet reading. No membership or required reading for this club and all are welcome to bring a book they are currently reading or check out a book from the library’s collection. For the first 15 minutes as everyone arrives, participants will find a seat, get comfortable, and chat about what the class are reading, before the organizer starts a one hour timer. When the timer is up, participants are free to keep reading or chat with other attendees. Registration is not required.

Thursday, March 27

First Chapter Club for Kids: Ages 8 to 12 years. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. The First Chapter Club for Kids is a way to learn about a variety of books and books series. Participants may have a snack and get a sneak peak into a new book each month. After reading the first chapter (sometimes more), the class will play games or do a craft related to the book. This month the class will be reading “Dragonbreath” by Ursula Vernon. The library will provide the books. Participants do not need to read the book prior to attending the class. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Friday, March 28

Intro to Email: For adults and senior citizens. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to learn the basics of email, from setting up an account and sending emails to adding and downloading attachments, organizing messages, and searching within their inbox. There will be time after class for questions and one-on-one help. Note: If a participant already has an email account, they must bring their username and password information. If a participant does not have an email address, they will create one in class. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Monday, March 31

Book Discussion: For adults and senior citizens. 2 to 3 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to join the library staff to discuss “How to Read a Book” by Monica Wood. Registration is not required and new members are welcome to attend.
