Wednesday, Jan. 29

Intro to Excel: For seniors. 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Get started with Microsoft Excel. Student will learn the basics of excel from getting familiar with the interface to using pre-made templates to setting up spreadsheets with simple functions and visual styling. Alternative to Excel as well as how to set up an maintain a personal home budget will also be covered. Participants must come with an understanding of computer basics on using a mouse and keyboard. Thursday, Jan. 30

First Chapter Club for Kids: Ages 8 to 12 years. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. The First Chapter Club for Kids is a way to learn about a variety of books and books series. Participants may have a snack and get a sneak peak into a new book each month. After reading the first chapter (sometimes more), the class will play games or do a craft related to the book. This month the class will be reading “Dragonbreath” by Ursula Vernon. The library will provide the books. Participants do not need to read the book prior to attending the class.

Friday, Jan. 31

Toddler Time: Ages 18 to 26 months. 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Join this class for stories, movement, and activities designed for toddlers on the go. Ms. Jenn will focus on building early literacy skills through naming colors, counting, letter recognition, etc. in a fun, interactive environment. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the fun! Toddler Time is also a great place to socialize with other families and meet new friends.

Preschool Story Time: Ages 3 to 6 years. 11 to 11:30 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Preschoolers and their guardians are invited to join Ms. Chris for fun stories, activities, and a craft. This class will focus on building early literacy skills such as recognition of the alphabet and written language, as well as oral language skills through rhymes or songs. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the fun. Preschool Story Time is also a way to socialize with other families and meet new friends. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Monday, Feb. 3

Smartphone Basics: For adults and senior citizens. 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Adults and senior citizens are invited to learn the basic functions of their smartphone, essential gestures for touchscreen navigation in Apple and Android, and a variety of useful apps for everyday tasks and entertainment.

Students should bring their smartphones (or iPads/Android tablets) to class. Participants should know or bring their Android or Apple usernames and passwords to the class. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Cozy Crochet Club: Ages 12 to 17 years. 5 to 6 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to bring a current project and get cozy with fellow crocheters or start a new project from the library’s pattern selection. Beginners are welcome to attend and can learn basic stitches to get started on a project. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
