Evesham Township’s Harvest Fest will be held along Main Street in Marlton on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 10 a.m.
“Having this lovely fall festival that (people) can look forward to that engages everyone… from their children to their palettes if they want to eat, if they’re interested in finding something unique and seeing something unique… You will for sure find something at Harvest Fest,” said Evesham Township’s Director of External Affairs Stacy Webb.
Harvest Fest will have crafters, a food court, live music, a kids corner and more. Local nonprofits and organizations will also be sharing information with the public to let people know of the resources that are available to them. Regardless of age, the annual event will have something for everyone, Webb said. Not only do people in the community look forward to it all year, but it’s also a great way to kick off the change of season. If you go one year, Webb added, you’ll want to go again.
“You have something unique and it’s something that children absolutely love,” Webb said. “Pulling them away is always the hard part. It’s a combined effort event and one that’s highly regarded by, not only our township, but our mayor and council. They want to provide this event not only for the people in the township but also surrounding towns. It’s open to everyone to come and enjoy a fantastic time.”
Webb has been working with the township for nearly six years and works with multiple committees and sub-committees to plan and put on events for the community. This year has been amazing, Webb explained, because aside from other festivities the township hosted a few watch parties for the FIFA World Cup. Every event gives Webb a chance to connect with local businesses and others to plan things accordingly, and she loves to see things come together and people enjoy it.
“We learn from each (event) and we improve on those, each and every year, and attendees always recognize that,” Webb said. “To hear their feedback gives me great joy. It 100% does. The mayor and council members and the township manager and people that work within the township love to hear that feedback. It makes it so wonderful.”
