The Evesham Township Board of Education has announced that three elementary-school principals will be voluntarily reassigned this summer.
During comments at the board’s recent meeting, Superintendent Dr. Justin Smith shared that the moves are effective July 1. Nicholas DiBlasi will go from principal at Van Zant Elementary to DeMasi Elementary, Beverly Green will move from principal of DeMasi to Rice Elementary, and Rice’s Amanda Fry will be principal at Van Zant.
“Through these voluntary reassignments, the three of them are embodying and modeling the core values we emphasize to our students; namely teamwork, growth mindset, and community spirit,” Smith said. “These (reassignments) are a part of the district’s efforts to maximize our resources, and in this case, one of our greatest resources, which are human resources.
“Change brings opportunity for growth,” he added, “and we are excited that we will see that unfold through these changes as they bring a new chapter for both our valued school leaders and our schools. For this and more (DiBlasi, Green and Fry) are to be commended and celebrated. And we want to join you through this transition in that same positive spirit.
“So I wish the three of you tremendous joy and success, in your work and our work together, through this process.”
“I have to give a sincere thank you to (DiBlasi, Green, and Fry) in accepting different positions,” noted board president Janis Knoll. “I believe every school is going to be much stronger for it, and I think you all should be commended.”
