Autism awareness run

The Evesham Township Disabilities and Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee is once again inviting all residents to support autism awareness with a color run and sensory walk beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. at Rice Elementary School, located at 50 Five Crown Royal Parkway in Marlton.

This event will close out April as Autism Acceptance Month and recognize the experience of those with Autism, as well as their families and other issues related to the Autism Community.

The event is free, but registration is required at www.evesham-nj.org.

Township announces Thanksgiving food drive

Cherry Hill Township is encouraging residents to give back this holiday season through its annual Thanksgiving food drive, with donations accepted now through Nov. 23. Community members can drop off food donations at several township locations, including the Cherry Hill Municipal Building, 820 Mercer St., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Croft Farm, 100 Bortons Mill Road, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Cherry Hill Public Library, 1100 Kings Highway, will also accept donations Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Additional donation locations include the Cherry Hill Food Pantry, 910 Beechwood Ave., and Jewish Family and Children's Service of Southern New Jersey. Residents interested in donating at these locations should call ahead for drop-off availability. Residents can find additional information and food pantry resources on the Cherry Hill Township website.
