The Mantua Township School District is conducting a survey of employees, students, district parents and other residents to gauge what its goals should be in the next few years.

“(The district) is embarking on a strategic planning process to set high-level goals that will guide our pre-K to sixth (grade) work for the next three to five years,” said Superintendent Christine Trampe. “One of the first stages of this work includes gathering input from employees, students and parents, as well as residents who do not currently have children in our public schools.”

While the survey was designed specifically for district parents, the hope is to get input from as many people in Mantua as possible to glean what the district most needs in order to improve.

“All parents of our students received an email from the district asking them to complete a brief survey designed specifically for parents of current students,” Trampe explained. “We would also like to capture opinions and recommendations from other community members.”

The survey can be found on the school district’s website by scrolling down to the news and announcements section and clicking on the Community Survey for Strategic Planning link. Residents will answer 12 questions that include agreement or disagreement with certain statements and what goals they think are most important to accomplish.

The deadline for the survey is Sunday, Oct. 20. Survey takers do not need to submit their names and will remain anonymous.

“Public education is one of the pillars of our society and we have much to be proud of in Mantua,” said Trampe. “Please help us to continue our great work as we strive to meet all students’ needs and the challenges of 2024 and beyond.”
