The results of the Nov. 5 elections in Mantua are now official. They were verified by the Gloucester County Board of Elections on Nov. 18.
Candidates vied for seats on the township committee and the school boards of Mantua Township and Clearview Regional.
For the committee, Democrat incumbent and Mayor Robert Zimmerman teamed with new candidate Jason Snyder and secured three-year positions on the committee with 4,850 and 4,470 votes, respectively. They went up against Republican candidates Courtney Bracken, who earned 4,377 votes, and Christina Goschler, who earned 4,422. There were a total of 12 write-in votes.
The Mantua board of ed election was a five-way race for three open positions. Incumbent Stephanie DiAntonio secured the most votes with 4,300, Tyler Grant got 4,074 votes and incumbent Michele Leach earned 3,631. Behind them were John Steen, with 3,477, votes and Karen Vick, with 3,281. There were 127 write-ins
The Clearview board of ed race was uncontested: Incumbent Sean Sepsey ran unopposed for a seat, earning 6,516 votes. There were 320 write-ins.
