It is with heavy hearts that we announce the Jan. 3 passing of K-9 Bane – K-6 – a beloved and highly respected member of the Mantua Township Police Department’s K-9 Unit.

Bane served with unwavering loyalty alongside his partner and handler, officer Kyle Riepen. Together, they worked diligently to serve and protect the residents of Mantua, Wenonah and Gloucester County, from patrol duties and community engagement to assisting in police operations.

Their teamwork exemplified dedication, courage and commitment to service.

After years of faithful duty, Bane retired from active service in 2023., leaving behind a legacy of devotion to his community and his handler. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
