The Mantua Township Fire District has announced the passing of fire police officer Drew “Drew Jr.” Hayes. He started his career in the fire service in the 1950s with the Almonesson Lake Fire company in Deptford, before moving to Mantua Township. He was the founder of the district’s fire police program. “Drew will certainly be missed,” the department posted on Facebook. “Please keep the Hayes family in your thoughts and prayers.”
