Gloucester County prepared for snowstorm

Gloucester County Commissioner Matt Weng is assuring residents that the county is prepared for the oncoming snowstorm and that public safety remains the county’s top priority.

In advance of the storm, Gloucester County has also hosted multiple coordination calls with key departments and partners, including Office of Emergency Management, EMT, Fire, the Sheriff’s Office, municipal partners, utility providers, and hospitals. These efforts help ensure a well-coordinated and effective response before the first snow begins to fall, Weng said in a social media post.

Weng also toured the county’s winter operations and met with the county engineer to review storm preparedness efforts. The county has nearly 50 trucks ready for deployment and thousands of tons of salt stockpiled to help keep roadways as safe as possible.
