
Congressman Donald Norcross, community members, veterans and service academy alumni nominated 19 students for the honor.
Congressman Donald Norcross, a member of the House Armed Services Committee and father of a veteran, recently announced the region’s 2025 congressional nominees for United States service academies.
“Year after year, I’m amazed at the outstanding students that are ready and willing to serve their country from South Jersey,” he said. ” … It is my honor to nominate these impressive young men and women to the United States service academies. Congratulations to the nominees, their parents, and their teachers.
“You make South Jersey proud.”
Students who want to attend the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy must be nominated by the vice president or their U.S. senator or representative. This year, 19 students were selected by Norcross and a committee comprised of community leaders, veterans and service academy alumni.
The students are:
- Alexander Truong, Cherry Hill, St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, nominated to the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy
- Alstin Tran, Sicklerville, Timber Creek Regional High School, nominated to the United States Air Force Academy
- Andrew Lisko, Collingswood, St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, nominated to the United States Naval Academy
- Anthony Morgenstern, Palmyra, Palmyra High School, nominated to the United States Naval Academy and United States Air Force Academy
- Benjamin Auerbach, Collingswood, Collingswood High School, nominated to the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the United States Naval Academy
- Brylee Barry, Williamstown, Williamstown High School, nominated to the United States Military Academy
- Caroline Dozier, Southampton, Home-schooled, nominated to the United States Merchant Marine Academy
- Colin Olivo, Turnersville, St. Augustine Preparatory School, nominated to the United States Military Academy and United States Merchant Marine Academy
- David Nguyen, Cherry Hill, Cherry Hill High School East, nominated to the United States Military Academy
