Tabernacle Historical Society to celebrate 50 years with Civil War event

The Tabernacle Historical Society will hold its first in a series of celebration events for the society’s 50th anniversary celebration from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 27.

Members of New Jersey’s 8th Infantry Regiment will honor its Civil War veterans in a dramatic
historical event as they speak from the grave at the Old Tabernacle Cemetery, Carranza Road across from Tabernacle Town Hall.

Learn their history and hear about the battles they fought in. To allow for respectful moving through the cemetery, although not required, register for the free event at tabernaclehistoricalsociety@gmail.com. Include “Civil War Veteran Presentation” in headline.
