Medford police have a new look with a transition to an outer carrier vest as their standard uniform. The vest carries an officer’s body armor and other gear commonly found on a duty belt and distributes weight more evenly, making the uniform more comfortable to wear and reducing the stress on an officer’s lower back and hips.
