Moorestown: Election results for township council

Voters in Moorestown Township went to the polls on Nov. 5 and elected members of the township council.

The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website, all of which are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.

Six candidates ran for three council seats. Democrats Sue Mammarella, Chris Keating and James Barry ran against three Republicans, Nicole MacHenry, Sam Foster and Gary Morris.

As of Nov. 6, Mammarella received 6,246 votes, Keating received 6,235 votes and Barry received 6,152 votes.

As of Nov. 6, MacHenry received 5,258 votes, Foster received 5,150 votes and Morris received 5,145 votes.

There are 17 personal-choice votes.
