Monroe Township: Election results

Voters in Monroe Township went to the polls on Nov. 5 and elected members for township ward seats and school board of education.

The Gloucester County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website, all of which are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.

Monroe Township Ward Seats

Ward 1: As of Nov. 7, Democratic candidate Albert “Al” Rossi leads with 2,573 votes over Republican candidate Zachary Taglioli, who has received 2,255 votes. There are seven write-in votes.

Ward 2: As of Nov. 7, Democratic incumbent Carolann Fox leads with 2,482 votes over Republican candidate Anthony L. Bundi, who has received 2,027 votes. There is one write-in vote.

Ward 3: As of Nov. 7, Democratic candidate Brian Cope leads with 2,751 votes over Republican candidate Janet L. Schaefer, who has received 2,249 votes. There are six write-in votes.

Ward 4: As of Nov. 7, Republican candidate John Valentine leads with 2,645 votes over Democratic candidate Linda Wagner Desantis, who has received 2,582 votes. There are four write-in votes.

Monroe Township Board of Education

Six candidates vied for the three, three-year term seats on the school board of education. As of Nov. 7, newcomer Tiffanie Davis has received the most votes with 7,406, followed by newcomer Allison Longo with 7,329 votes and newcomer Stephanie Young with 7,079 votes.

Incumbent Stacey Keubler follows with 6,483 votes, incumbent Anthony “Tony” Lanteigne has received 6,354 votes and newcomer Kristine Kozachyn received 6,041 votes. There are 249 write-in votes.
