A 43-year-old Medford Township man has been convicted of murdering his wife in their Regent Court home two years ago, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw.

The crime was discovered on the afternoon of March 21, 2023, when Medford officers were called to the Regent Court residence for a report of an unconscious and unresponsive female adult. They found the body of Angammal Babu, 41, on the bed in the upstairs master bedroom. A 911 call had been placed by the defendant, who indicated to responding officers that his wife had taken a nap because she was tired, according to the prosecutor.

An autopsy performed by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood concluded the cause of death was due to compression of the victim’s neck.
